You Gotta Be Shitting Me

Some lady was introducing Joe Biden before Joe Biden’s son introduced Joe Biden, and I was only half-listening until I heard her talk about how Biden co-authored the Violence Against Women Act. I didn’t realize that all of Congress’s bills were named to describe what they’re working against, a la the Clear Skies Act, No Child Left Behind Act, Operation Enduring Freedom, etc.

I guess this means Biden isn’t as cool as I thought he was back when I heard he was responsible for the RAVE Act. “Reducing American’s Vulnerability to Ecstasy”? What ever happened to PLUR, Joe? Opposite Day isn’t PLUR! You guys look really happy, why not us?

I don’t like the idea of Senator Obama giving his acceptance speech in front of 75,000 wildly cheering people. That is not the way we do things in political parties in the United States of America. We have a contained number of people in an arena. Seventy-five-thousand people at an outdoor sports palace, well, that’s something the Fuehrer would have done.
